The Brunch Review: El Centro, D.F. (Washington, D.C.)

Heyyyy D.C. friends! Got a (bottomless) brunch review for you that you’re not going to want to miss. Big shout out to Willy, dedicated Ampersand fan, for hosting our huge group of friends for an adventurous D.C. weekend, which included 4 hours at El Centro, D.F. Let’s get to it.

Location: Georgetown (just a bunch of Cats in G-town, ironic…)

Mexican brunch, round dos. If you remember, I went to my first Mexican brunch back in October at Mission Taqueria in Philly. Apparently Mexican brunch is my new thing because I really liked it the second time around. Fan favorite dishes included the grilled chicken quesadilla, egg & chorizo tacos and bacon & egg torta. A few of my friends tried the El Centro dog (because they’re weirdos, idk) & the chips and salsa were fab. Full brunch menu here.

Wait, wait–didn’t you say bottomless brunch? …Why do you think we stayed for almost 4 hours? Yes, El Centro is bottomless everything. Read: you pay $35 flat and you get bottomless drinks AND food for however long you stay. Endless mimosas, Bloody Mary’s & margs. More tacos than you’d ever want. This is what dreams are made of.

I’m sold. What else could I want? Well, it’s in a great location–the main drag in Georgetown with all the cute shops and restaurants. Plus you know I’m all about the atmosphere, which was also great. (Big shout out to the waitress/bar tender for dealing with our group of 15+ who just wanted to watch the Nova game.)

The *: Service was a taaad slow. So when you order, just order everything at once. Take full advantage of the bottomless part of brunch.

The Bottom line: If you’re in D.C. and don’t go to El Centro, you’re not brunching right. It’s cheap, it’s great for groups & it’s bottomless.

Here’s to brunchin’ with legitimately my favorite people in the world (I love you more than mimosas). &.
