Why I Love Working with All Women

I work with women. Basically all women. In the small PR agency of 40+ people, only 2 of them majorly contribute to the testosterone level. When I first started, I didn’t really notice that we were ALL female (honestly because what do you expect in the communication field), but then I realized I don’t mind working with women. I actually love it. Here’s why.

Everything is a celebration.

Get new shoes? Gush about it. Go on a date? Gossip about it. Find a sale online, figure out how to do your taxes or friend each other on Facebook? Freak. out.

I love it. I’m general excitable so to be around people who celebrate the small things is awesome.

Someone always has a tampon.

And it’s not awkward to ask for one. And there aren’t male co-workers to overhear you and make you feel awkward.

You have great role models.

From working moms, colleagues who completely changed careers and the all-around bad-asses I work with, I’m surrounded by incredible female role-models every day. As cliche as it sounds, they really do inspire me and that’s pretty cool. I’m also pretty convinced that women can do anything.

We’re all good communicators.

Maaaaybe it’s because we’re in PR… but I do believe that women have the strength of communication. Whether we’re encouraging each other, congratulating on a job well done or discussing what can be improved, open communication has really been the key to success on my team.

Weddings are a big deal.

I may or may not have cried when my co-worker got engaged…But it is really fun to chat with my friends about their upcoming weddings and all the details that surround it. Finally, I’m among people who don’t judge me for my Pinterest boards.

Wine.

By 4 p.m. on Friday, without fail, there is always wine. &.

{Shout out to all my fabulous co-workers!}
