Likes & Favorites: Summer Adventures

I always say that I’m the best version of myself in the summer. I think that’s pretty true across the board–everyone is the best version of themselves in the summer. How can you not be? The weather is gorgeous, work is usually slower (hello summer Friday’s!) and everything is just more laid-back & relaxed. I’m so much happier in the summer because summer doesn’t only make me want to slow down, but it also makes me want to try new things. Summertime = the best time for adventures. Here are some things to bring out your adventurous-summer side.

The Smile Tag // I’m Happiest When…

One of my favorite things about being a blogger is meeting other awesome people who love to blog too. I was recently nominated for “The Smile Tag” from one of my favorite bloggers, Kali from Ink On My Hands. (Definitely check her out–she always features the best beauty/style trends & I love her honesty and authenticity!) The Smile Tag was originally created by Ciarra Loren, and all you have to do is share a picture of you smiling (which is easy for me because I have TONS of smiley photos). I figured this would be a nice chance to share all the things that make me the happiest. Hopefully this will make you smile a little bit too!

I Got a Tattoo (& Things to Consider if You Want One, Too)

So I got a tattoo yesterday. To some people, this may be extremely surprising that I got a tattoo at all. To others, it may be extremely surprising that I actually pulled the trigger & went through with it. No, this was not some super spontaneous decision to permanently mark my body–a lot of people don’t know I’ve been thinking about this for about a year and half & finally made a solid decision to do it about two weeks ago. Regardless, I can honestly say that I’m ridiculously happy I did it & I’m actually obsessed with the whole experience and how it all turned out.

Beyond that, I was overwhelmed by the amount of support I got from my friends when they saw the final product on social media. I also got a lot of questions about the process & how I’m feeling about it, so I wanted to dedicate a post about my tattoo experience and some things to consider if you’re contemplating getting one too. Enjoy!
