The Brunch Review: Harp & Crown (Philadelphia, PA)

Two brunch reviews in a row, whaaat? Idk, why not right? We all love brunch so lets celebrate it two weeks in a row. (Catch up on last week’s review here). This brunch was to celebrate my lovely bestie-fellow-birthday-diva, JD. We headed to Harp & Crown on a recommendation from my friend Aminah (aka the queen of all good food in Philly). I’ve only been to Harp & Crown for drinks so I was excited to actually try the food there. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Make a reservation, ASAP.

24 Lessons I Learned When I Was Twenty Four

Today I turned 25. I thought I’d have a little more of a quarter-life crisis moment, but honestly I’m feeling pretty okay. Maybe that’s because I had my quarter-life crisis when I was 20 because I’m kind of a weirdo like that. Regardless, I am officially twenty-five. And for the first time, I actually feel sorta like a grownup. It’s weird, I never thought I’d get here. It’s like I’ve finally transitioned from “adulting” to just “adult.” At the same time, I also feel incredibly young, in the best way. Like this is the start to some of the best years of my life. Crazy stuff.

Generally when I think about this upcoming year, I’m really excited. I just feel like it’s going to be a big year full of firsts & surprises. In retrospect, I feel like 24 was a year of preparation, maybe for all these exciting things I’m anticipating. I learned a lot of things when I was 24. There were a lot of big events that occurred as well as long stretches of stagnancy. Both periods taught me different things–all valuable lessons that life thought I needed to learn. So, as I normally do on my birthday (you can check out 22, 23 & 24), here are some things I learned this past year. Twenty four, you were a doozy–thank you for the wild ride.

Likes & Favorites: Hi October!

My Babci used to say that the sky always seemed bluer in the fall. It might be because of the trees changing colors or just the crispness in the air, but the sky is truly beautiful this time of year. This past weekend was the first time it finally felt like a true fall day & I could not have been happier. And my Babci was right–I’m pretty sure the sky is more blue in the autumn.

Anyways, it’s officially October. Aka my favorite month of the whole year. Not only is it my birthday month (turning 25 oh so soon, what??), but everything is quintessentially fall. I plan on partaking in all the fun, fall activities, drinking all the apple cider & of course, eating all the pumpkin-flavored things. Honestly, no shame. This season goes quick so might as well fully enjoy it while it’s here. Speaking of things I’m enjoying, here’s some likes & favorites to help you make the most out of fall.
