HELLO THERE. This is way overdue. Also I haven’t blogged in a hot minute. I’m sorry, life is crazy, new job, holidays, etc. etc. I’m going to try to be better about writing once a week or every other week, but we’ll see how it goes haha ANYWAYS. Brunch review coming in hot–I actually went to the Twisted Tails years ago but just revisited it recently (it’s pretty close to my new apartment!) If you’re looking for a low-key brunch in a cute part of the city, Twisted Tail is for you.

For Review: Twisted Tail
Location: Old City (509 S. 2nd St.)

Craving comfort food. Twisted Tail does comfort food right. All their dishes are comfort classics with a twist~ (lol get it?). I gotthe Bacon Tamale (a great take on Eggs Benedict–includes short ribs & Chipotle Hollandaise aka amaaaaazing) while my bestie/fellow blogger, Sam, got the Cheesy Grits (topped with bacon. What else could you want?) They also have southern classics like chicken &waffles as well as Biscuits ‘n’ Gravy. If you’re in the mood for a cozy, comfort brunch, it’s the perfect spot. Check out the full menu here.

Drinks on drinks. Sam and I weren’t in the boozy brunch mood (okay fine, I had one mimosa) but they do have the brunch basics (mimosas, bloody’s, etc.) plus a whole menu of specialty cocktails(Kool Kat & Pumpkin Spice Old Fashioned sound lovely). And they also serve La Columbe coffee which is A++++ in my book.

The *: Atmosphere wise, Twisted Tail is definitely cute, but the layout is a little weird, and it’s a bit dark. There was a big party the day Sam and I went, but I’m not sure how well they would accommodate a BIG party. More of a one-on-one brunch spot–at least that’s the vibe I got!
Again, sorry for being so MIA lately! Are there any Philly brunch spots that you love or are curious to try? LMK & I’ll gladly review them ;) &.
