Winter Wear, featuring Your New Favorite Coat

Hope everyone has been enjoying the holidays! I did a style post a while back and have been wanting to do another one featuring winter wear. (Plus, pretending to be a fashion blogger is always fun). I finally found the perfect coat to feature (which is under $100, btw) so Krista and I set up a photoshoot in our parents’ backyard (like ya do). What better way to ring in 2017 than with a fabulous new coat? Keep scrolling to see more.

I recently got a new job (more on that soon!) which requires me to dress up a little more than my old position. I had been in the market for a new peacoat for a while and finally ordered this one a few weeks ago. One of the best purchases I’ve ever made. It’s classy, it’s warm & it’s easy to wear. Bonus: it was affordable, which isn’t always the case with nicer winter coats.

It’s no secret that I love blanket scarves–I paired this classic plaid one with my coat because I absolutely hate being cold (and it completes the ensemble). But if you don’t have a scarf,  great thing about this coat is that you can button up the shawl part to keep your neck nice and warm.

My mom got me this great faux leather bag for Christmas which I’m super excited to feature. I love that it’s structured with a lot of pockets, and it comes in this dual leather combo. Unfortunately it’s currently sold out online, but I have a few similar bags linked at the end of this post!

Always a big shoutout to Krista for being my faithful photographer & telling me to fix my awkward posing.
