Likes & Favorites: Homecoming & Stuff

So it’s been a while! I’ve been trying to find time to write this post (it’s been written down in bits and pieces on my phone for the past week and a half), but life just kinda got in the way. Here are some of the things I’ve been doing:

1. Attempting to hang floating shelves in my living room & failing miserably. (If anyone knows how to use “molly screws,” please let me know.)

2. Eating Hope’s Cookies with my favorite family, the Melino’s.

3. Wandering around Bath & Body Works to find fun ~holiday~ scented candles.

4. Debating the Starbucks Red Cup Controversy (Ellen Degeneres pretty much sums up my thoughts).

5. Missing Willy Annan dearly.

6. Drinking champagne (and overusing the new champagne emoji) at Homecoming (#hoco2k15, #hypeit #blessings)

7. Spending too much money in Target.

8. Baking pumpkin cookies (recipe here)

9. Swooning over Justin Timberlake at the CMA’s.

10. Listening to Sorry (Justin Bieber) and Hello (Adele) on repeat.

Beyond this list, here are the other things I’ve been liking & favoriting:

Brand New Ben Rector

I’ve always been a Ben Rector fan & his new album did not disappoint. I listen to it in the morning when I get to the office, paired with my coffee. For any new “adults” out there,  the song “Crazyis our lives.

All of the blanket scarves

Stanford —> Manayunk

Fall = blanket scarves and I’m not mad about it. Honestly, what gets better than a scarf that turns into a blanket? I see no downside.

Whine About It: Adulting

First of all, if you haven’t seen all of the Whine About It Series, stop what you’re doing and watch all of them here. (My favorites include Worst Things About Fall and Halloween). And then watch the one about adulthood because someone finally understands us.

Work out motivator

I’ve joined a gym because that’s the big girl thing to do, but that doesn’t mean I always have the motivation to actually go…I was talking to my friend Kelsey about it and she suggested listening to podcasts while working out to make the time pass quicker. And you’re only allowed to listen to the podcast while working out so it motivates you keep going back to the gym (genius, right?) So I started Serial (yes, I know I’m extremely behind on this, let me live) and it’s awesome. I totally forget how much I hate running on the treadmill. Re-listen Serial or pick your own podcast. You’ll be buff in no time.

Happy Hour Finder

There’s a free app that helps you find happy hours in your area. It also tells you what deals are going on that day. You’re welcome.

Liking finally blogging again & Favoriting seeing all my favorite cats this weekend for homecoming.

{You guys are the best}
